Plasma Rich in Growth Factor Endoret® (PRGF)
Plasma Rich in Growth Factor Endoret
At Escobar MD Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Paulo A. Escobar and his team understand that women and men alike have signs of aging, dry and dull skin or visible sun damage that they wish they could reverse. That is why we are thrilled to welcome plasma rich in growth factor (PRGF) Endoret to our office for patients looking to restore a more refreshed, youthful complexion and improve the overall health of their skin. The PRGF treatment is an exciting new regenerative treatment that can restore your skin’s tone and texture, soften wrinkles and fine lines and correct sun damage for a natural rejuvenation that improves your skin’s appearance for years to come. PRGF possesses the remarkable ability to promote tissue regeneration to counteract aging skin and stop the aging process in its tracks.
Who is
an ideal candidate for PRGF Endoret?
Most patients interested in improving the health and appearance of their skin make excellent candidates for PRGF treatments.
PRGF is an autologous treatment, meaning it comes from your own body and virtually eliminates the risk of an adverse reaction to the procedure. With few side effects, a low risk of complications and zero downtime necessary, PRGF treatments are an incredibly safe and effective treatment for a majority of women and men who wish to turn back the clock on their complexion.
What to Expect From Your PRGF Endoret Procedure
When you arrive for your PRGF procedure, Dr. Paulo A. Escobar will first need to draw a small sample of blood from your arm, similar to getting your blood drawn by your primary care doctor. This blood sample is then spun and processed in a centrifuge, which isolates the plasma and growth factors in your blood from the unneeded components to create PRGF. The PRGF is then carefully injected into multiple areas of your face where it instantly gets to work on repairing your aged skin from within. Depending on the severity of your concerns and needs, the PRGF serum can be produced in different densities of plasma, such as high viscosity, low viscosity or liquid.
As a minimally-invasive treatment, there is little to no downtime needed after your PRGF Endoret procedure. Patients may experience mild swelling and bruising at the site of their injections, but these symptoms are typical and should subside on their own within a few hours or days of your appointment. As soon as you leave, you can immediately return to work or your regular day-to-day activities.
Your PRGF Results
After your PRGF Endoret treatment, the rejuvenation effects will typically start to become apparent 24 hours following your appointment. Over time, your complexion will continue to improve as new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production repairs your skin from within. While one PRGF will yield numerous benefits, Dr. Paulo A. Escobar usually recommends three treatment sessions spaced one month apart depending on your age and the severity of your concerns. Following your treatment course, you can expect natural-looking results such as:
- Increased skin hydration
- Reduced elasticity
- Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
- Reduced sun damage and discoloration
- Increased luminosity
If your complexion is in need of a refresh, PRGF Endoret can help to repair and regenerate your skin for a healthier, more moisturized and more youthful-looking appearance.
